Lean Construction Seminar to Focus on Principles and Implementation
Register today for the UMCA May Education Seminar “Securing Our Future Using Lean Construction.” Join us on Thursday, May 17th from 7AM – 4PM at the Utah Career Center. Dennis Sowards will lead the class in exploring the latest in Lean Construction.
This course will focus on the principles and practical application of Lean and how Lean has helped reduce cost while improving quality. Attendees will examine the tools for applying Lean including using the 5S’s effectively, doing useful Muda walks, applying the Last Planner System, and other useful Lean Tools. Attendees will also take a close look at how Lean can be applied in service and take home a copy of Dennis’ “Lean Construction Pocket Guide.”
Dennis has authored over 50 articles and publications on Lean Construction and has been an industry consultant for over 20 years. He has 35 years of experience in working with managers to improve productivity performance and is an expert in Lean Construction.
