Looking Ahead: Utah Career Center
The Utah Career Center will administrate and host three highly requested courses in October and November. These courses are being offered to meet the need for certified med gas installers. You are strongly encouraged to share this information with qualifying Journeymen.
Med Gas Certification Course: This class is for Journeymen with a minimum of four years piping experience and will be instructed by Carey Maiello. Attendees must attend at least 36 hours of the 40 hour course to be eligible to take the certification test. The Utah Career Center will provide books, however they must be returned at the end of class.
The exam format for this course will be a written computer test and includes a brazing practical.
Course Dates: October 7, 10, 14, 17, 21, 24, 28 5PM-9PM
November 4, 7, 11 5PM-9PM
Test Date: November 14 at 6:00PM
Registration Deadline: October 6, 2019
Med Gas Re-certification Course: This class is for Journeymen with a minimum of four years piping experience and will be instructed by Carey Maiello. International Plumbing Code Update & Review: This class is available to all apprentices and journeymen. This course will be led by Lynn Waterson and will count towards individual’s continuing education requirement for their plumber’s license. Credit earned will reflect the number of hours attended by the registered .
Course Dates: November 9 & 16 7AM-12PM
Credit Earned: Reflective of hours attended

Intro To Jobsite Digital Literacy: This class is designed to introduce you to the uses of iPads on jobsites. The main apps used will be BlueBeam Vu and BIM 360 Glue. Class size is limited to 8 individuals per class.
Course Dates: November 8 5PM-9PM OR
November 9 8AM-12PM

Finally, the Utah Career Center will be holding interviews in the month of November and applications must be returned to the Utah Career Center not later than October 25, 2019.
