The Evolution of Prefabrication Examined
In 2016 FMI and BIM Forum collaborated in a study to examine how the use of prefabrication has transformed over the past 5 years. This study included 200 participant companies that collectively generated over $38 Billion in industry revenue. They highlighted how struggles to make prefabrication effective and marginal savings and gains affect the use and success of prefabrication.They also examined what participants identified as key barriers and main drivers that contribute to the use of improved technology methods and procedures.
