UMCA Membership Votes in New Officers/Board Members and By Laws at 2016 Annual Meeting

The UMCA Membership met on January 14, 2016 at the Grand America Hotel for its 2016 Annual Business Meeting.  The evening consisted of the business meeting, contractor meeting with UA Local 140 Leadership, presentations from Val Hale with the Utah Governor’s Office for Economic Development and Utah Speaker of the House Greg Hughes.  Following the meeting, members enjoyed a reception and dinner.  During the business meeting, the UMCA Membership was presented with reports on the various operations of the association.  Additionally, the membership voted in a new set of By Laws and also approved the nominating committee’s proposal for changes to the Officers and Board of the association.  Larry Hansen with KOH Mechanical will now serve as Treasurer of the association and Ryan Jorgensen with Mechanical Service and Systems, Inc. and Tony Lewis with American Mechanical Systems Service were both elected to the board.  Joe Morin, who has served many years on the UMCA Board of Directors, was also honored for his service and dedication to the association as his term expired.  We thank all who came and helped make this event a success.
