UMCA & UA Local 140 Host HVAC-R Open House

HVACR contractors in association with the UA Local 140 hosted an open house and recruitment event for perspective employees at the Utah Career Center on Wednesday, March 20. Thirty-four perspective employees attended the event and had the opportunity to tour the Utah Career Center and their state-of-the-art facilities. Attendees met with some of the UMCA’s leading HVACR contractors to discuss the great opportunities that exist with being a member of the Pipe Trades Team. A special thanks to American Mechanical Systems Service, Commercial Mechanical, KOH Mechanical, and Mechanical Service & Systems for participating in the Career Fair and Hiring Event.

As the first joint open house for both labor and management, this event served as an excellent learning experience and will be a stepping stone to recruiting top talent. The UMCA appreciates the ongoing effort between labor and management to build a strong relationship. We look forward to bright future as partners.
