Utah Career Center Celebrates Apprentice Accomplishments

Things at the Utah Career Center were in full swing for the month of May with Apprentice Graduation and the Annual Apprentice Contest. On Saturday, May 18, 2018 the Utah Career Center held an apprentice skill contest that determined the apprentices that will represent the UA Local 140 at the Regional Apprentice Contest. The competition was very close with each participant being a highly skilled apprentice. All participants were given a prize and thanked for their dedication to the trade as well as their willingness to compete to represent the program in the Regional Contest.

The Utah Career Center also celebrated the graduating apprentices on Friday, May 17 at the Little America Hotel. John Stevenson, President of the UA Local 140 spoke to graduates prior to the completion ceremony and shared the importance of training, brotherhood, growth and his journey through the trades. We are optimistic as we look toward the future and congratulate to the class of 2019.
