Membership Levels
- Contractor Membership in the UMCA is available to sole proprietorships, partnerships, and corporations that are regularly engaged in the plumbing and mechanical contracting business, that have established places of business, and that employ union labor for the prosecution of such business.
- Associate Membership in the UMCA is generally available to other firms or individuals having direct interest in the plumbing and mechanical contracting industry. Examples include, but are not limited to, mechanical equipment manufacturers, representatives, suppliers and service providers.
- Affiliate Membership in the UMCA is generally available to contractors and subcontractors who are involved in limited aspects of mechanical system installations, but not fully qualifying for a regular mechanical contractor membership. By joining as an Affiliated Member, these contractors are demonstrating their interest in and support of the goals and objectives of the UMCA and its members. Examples include, but are not limited to, sheet metal, temperature control, sprinkler, and insulation contractors.
