Contractor Spotlight: Alternative Mechanical Contractors

Alternative Mechanical Contractors Inc. (AMCI) began just over twenty-five years ago at our kitchen table with five total employees as a mom-and-pop shop. Customers requested that we expand our operation into a full mechanical contracting business with in-house fabrication capabilities of sheet metal and piping. We also perform LOD 400 BIM coordination drawings and have full scanning capabilities in-house. As a customer-driven company, our founder Hal Hansen, has continued relationships with customers dating back forty years to his father Kay O. Hansen (Allied Plumbing and Heating). Kay instilled in our company the value of the customer. AMCI focuses on work along the Wasatch Front with a base operation in Utah. We rarely ask our employees to travel. We are grateful that Utah Mechanical Contractors Association offers meaningful education programs which enable us to invest in our people by providing training to meet the future needs of our customers.
